As more and more local authorities and national organisations introduce mandatory requirements for dog walkers, boarders and kennels some require a higher level of course; which the Advanced Pet First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) /Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ) course meets.
Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ) covers much more details about the different injuries and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats. The course has been designed to give the pet professional much more information; in order to be able to detect early when something is wrong and give the appropriate care. It is aimed to meet the level 3 pet first aid requirements for pet professionals; laid down by the latest government and council guidance.
The course also covers the anatomy and physiology of animals and different first aid treatments that are available. Although the treatment is basically the same between dogs and cats, the advanced course has a dedicated section to cats.
As a level 3 course the Advanced Pet First Aid Level 3 (VTQ) / Pet First Aid for Pet Professionals Level 3 (VTQ) is more involved; covers more topics in-depth and takes longer to complete.
The course is a blended course – Blended training is where you complete the online module (6 hours); and a practical module (approx 6 hours) locally with Teesside First Aid where you also cover practical subjects to gain the full qualification certificate.
This qualification is also available with an Endorsed Certificate from TQUK, for an extra charge if required.
