This course is designed for people who want to receive our most thorough first aid training.

Tourniquets and Haemostatic Dressings.

There has been a change in training legislation from 2017 where tourniquets and haemostatic dressings are now included in first aid training.

Teesside First Aid can now offer the high risk course for applying first aid to catastrophic bleeds caused by amputations, explosions, gun shots, puncture wounds etc.

Each business should conduct a risk assessment as recommended by the HSE and where a high risk has been found for the potential for catastrophic bleeding then the high risk course should be chosen over the normal FAW courses. The HSE have suggested businesses involved in construction, agriculture, forestry and manufacturing to name a few should consider this course.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
