A new qualification
A new qualification
Recently our lead instructor gained a new qualification improving Graeme’s own knowledge and skills; which can then be passed onto the students.
Graeme gained the QA Level 4 First Response Emergency Care (RQF); commonly known as FREC4 in may this year after attending a weeks course and completing the required workbooks.
In conjunction with the hand on skills obtained by responding to emergencies for the ambulance service as a CFR the FREC4 builds upon these skills.
The FREC4 fulfils the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E; this fantastic qualification provides Learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as; major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health problems and more.
The syllabus of the FREC4 has a more direct impact on our ILS courses as they are more advanced than the traditional first aid course, and also leads onto other courses such as oxygen provider
